From our experience:  buying ads on Facebook and LinkedIn is easier than buying search ads.  Why?  You don't have to do all the keyword research and analysis work upfront.  It's like buying a direct mail list.  Facebook and LinkedIn have lots of relevant selection criteria (like town, job title, industry, interests, etc.) that you select from and then create your ad.  You can also add an image (photo or graphic) which helps to make your ad stand out more.  It's very targeted and you control exactly how much you want to spend on a campaign or you can set a daily maximum amount too.
