This Subscriber Agreement and Terms of Use govern your use of MarketingZone.com, and unless other terms and conditions expressly govern, any other electronic services from MarketingZone.com that may be made available from time to time.
This website is offered to you conditioned upon your acceptance without modification of any/all the terms, conditions, and notices set forth below (collectively, the “Agreement”). By accessing or using this website in any manner, you agree to be bound by the Agreement. Please read the Agreement carefully. If you do not accept all of these terms and conditions, please do not use this website. Be sure to return to this page periodically to review the most current version of the Agreement. We reserve the right at any time, at our sole discretion, to change or otherwise modify the Agreement without prior notice, and your continued access or use of this website signifies your acceptance of the updated or modified Agreement.
Community Rules to Share Advice & Comments
All comments and advice must:
- Be original and written by you. If you are referencing the work or advice of another individual or entity, you must credit that individual or entity in the body of your advice or comment.
- Be informative and share your unique expertise. Include tips, strategies, techniques, case-studies, analysis, opinions and commentary.
- Not be a press release, advertisement, sales letter, promotional copy, or blatant and excessive self-promotion or hype.
- Use proper English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization and sentence structure. While we know there is a variation in what is considered "proper English," we ask that you at least be consistent within your entry. We encourage you to proofread your entry for spelling and accuracy, as it will reside on MarketingZone.com as a reflection of your skill and expertise.
- Follow simple punctuation rules: Periods should be inside of quotes; When doing "..." -- you should use only 3 dots minimum and maximum; When using dashes, use two in a row, ex: "--"; There is never a space before a period or before a comma.
- Not include all caps.
- Not contain: pornography/adult material, hate or violence-oriented, suggest racial intolerance, advocate against any individual or group, have insulting, obscene, degrading tone, or contain profanity.
- Not contain information on: Hacking/cracking content, bomb creation, support for terrorism/ radicalism/ religious fanaticism, illicit drugs or drug paraphernalia, steroid use or advocacy, weapon/ firearms/ ammunition/ balisongs/ butterfly knives or brass knuckles, or the promotion of hard alcohol/tobacco-related products or prescription drugs.
- Not contain information that promotes: Term papers or essays for sale to college students, PLR (Private Label Rights) articles as a good thing (it's not), the promotion of email Safe-Lists as a good thing (it's not) or bulk email spamming as a good thing (it's not), advocacy for paid auto-surf programs as a good thing (it's not), advocacy of click fraud or clicking on Adsense ads as a good thing (it's not), advocacy of creating MFA's (Made For Adsense) sites as a good strategy (it's not), or advocacy of Adsense Arbitrage (this policy is created to protect our advertisers interests).
- Not contain any content that is a violation of any law, be considered defamatory, libelous, or infringes on the legal rights of others.
- Not be a submission of the exact same entry as one that you already submitted. Some authors have submitted the same advice multiple times with only a few words changed in the body -- we reject these and ban authors who engage in this practice.
- Not include a reply to a personal email, letter or other correspondence.
- Not contain excessive and/or bolded keywords/ phrases. Bolding is limited to headings and subheadings.
- Place all website links/URLs within the "Resources" box on the Give Advice page. Do not exceed the maximum number of website links/URLs. There is a total limit of (4) active or inactive links allowed in the body of your entry:
- Maximum of (2) "Self-Serving" active or inactive links/URLs to a marketing-related website that you own, control, or have an interest in.
- Maximum of (2) active or inactive non-self serving links/URLs to a website that you do not own, control, or have an interest in which adds value to the article.
- Confine your links to your Any Resources field within the Give Advice section.
- Please provide the entire link, e.g. http://www.linkname.com, so that it will be clickable once posted
- Your links may not contain a file to be downloaded of any type.
- We do not knowingly allow any URLs in any of our articles that are banned by Google or if your website engages in questionable SEO practices -- we may reject your articles.
- We do not accept articles that have the same active link more than once. Do not submit duplicate URLs.
Community User-generated Content
- User name. We require you to register to have access to our community area. We require that you use your own first and last name as you register. You may choose for your advice and comments to be posted in different ways and you may change this on your My Account page. With certain exceptions, when you register, we will prefill your user name with your own name. It is your responsibility to choose your password wisely. If you have concerns or believe that someone is using your password without your authority, please contact Member Service. We reserve the right to disclose any information about you, including registration data, in order to comply with any applicable laws and/or requests under legal process, to operate our systems properly, to protect our property or rights, and to safeguard the interests of others.
- User content. We offer you the opportunity to comment on and engage in discussions regarding articles, companies and various topics. Any content, information, graphics, audio, images, and links you submit as part of creating your profile or in connection with any of the foregoing activities is referred to as "User Content" in this Agreement and is subject to various terms and conditions as set forth below.
- Cautions regarding other users and user content. You understand and agree that User Content includes information, views, opinions, and recommendations of many individuals and organizations and is designed to help you gather the information you need to help you make your own decisions. Importantly, you are responsible for your own marketing decisions and for properly analyzing and verifying any information you intend to rely upon. We do not endorse any recommendation or opinion made by any user. We do not routinely screen, edit, or review User Content. However, we reserve the right to monitor or remove any User Content from MarketingZone.com at any time without notice. You should also be aware that other users may use MarketingZone.com for personal gain. As a result, please approach messages with appropriate skepticism. User Content may be misleading, deceptive, or in error.
- Grant of rights and representations by you. If you upload, post or submit any User Content on MarketingZone.com, you represent to us that you have all the necessary legal rights to upload, post or submit such User Content and it will not violate any law or the rights of any person. You agree that upon uploading, posting or submitting information on MarketingZone.com, you grant MarketingZone, Inc., and our respective affiliates and successors a non-exclusive, transferable, worldwide, fully paid-up, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable right and license to use, distribute, publicly perform, display, reproduce, and create derivative works from your User Content in any and all media, in any manner, in whole or part, without any duty to compensate you. You also grant us the right to authorize the use of User Content, or any portion thereof, by users and other users in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement, including the rights to feature your User Content specifically on MarketingZone.com and to allow other users or users to request access to your User Content, such as for example through an RSS Feed.
- Removal of content. We may also remove any User Content for any reason and without notice to you. This includes all materials related to your use of MarketingZone.com or membership, including email accounts, postings, profiles or other personalized information you have created while on MarketingZone.com. You may delete or edit your advice and comments on your My Account page.
