TIP:  to get ideas about the different sizes and types of banners, look at the top marketing template and online printing suppliers.  Their websites all have lots of examples you can quickly scan through to help you determine what you want to do.
  • Use a template.  A template is essentially a shell that has been professionally designed. You add your text, logo and photos and images in the places you are allowed to on the template. Some templates have photos and are designed for certain types of business (dentists, landscapers, schools, etc.) There are thousands of templates to choose from:  Some are free; others are included if you work with a printer; and other companies sell templates you can buy.

    • Words that Work
    • Most suppliers don’t offer double-sided banners. If they do, the back and front must be the exact same.
    • Some banners are suitable for inside-use only. If you’re going to hang a banner outdoors, be sure to check for suppliers that offer banners for use outside.

  • Proof it
    • Get several people to look at the banner to check for typos and to ensure everything is perfect before you pay for printing.
